Rangers Mini Camp Day 1

WORN OUT!!! That's what I am right now!! Last night we got back from a whirlwind road trip to Georgia for Paul's family reunion! We had a great time but only got about 4 hours of sleep last night!! I have several posts on the back burner, inlcuding the trip, but I first want to post about today!

Today was the first day of Lane's Texas Rangers Baseball Camp!!!  Back in May I learned about a mini camp for 4-6 year olds at the Ballpark and knew Lane would die to do something like that, so a friend called on it to see about registering and to our sad disappointment the camp was booked and at the time they were not offering another one this summer...bummer. But....we soon found out that they were in fact going to open another one due to high request, so Stefanie and I jumped on it and got the boys signed up!
It's Monday-Thursday from 8:30-11:30. Today was focused on hitting. They did hitting from the tee, then some soft toss drills, then during the last hour they got to go to the Ballpark to the Rangers real batting cages! Lane was so excited this weekend about "his camp"!
Lane is doing camp with his good bud Titus!! Eagerly waiting to get started!

Getting put into their groups

A little warm-up running drills...sweet boy is the shortest in his group!

Some high knee action!

Tee time!

Water time! The boys loved this water contraption! Who needs water bottles when you got this!

Soft toss time

Titus and Lane

Walking to the Ballpark

Talking his coach's head off!

For being so hot the boys did great! After camp we went and got him a baseball bat and bag and he spent awhile this evening practicing hitting from a cute!! Check back tomorrow for more camp fun!!
