End of Month Happenings

It's Monday! And it's Leap Day! And it's almost March! Hope everyone had a great weekend!
Backing up a couple of weeks here....Paul got two tix to the US Women's Soccer Olympic Qualifying Match in Frisco. With it being so close, we couldn't miss out on seeing some of the greats!! Levi didn't care to go, so I got to take Lane and it was awesome!
.
We got to see Carli Llyod, Alex Morgan, Hope Solo, O'Hara, and all the newbies!

Lane predicated that they would score eight goals, and the ended up with ten! He loved seeing so many goals!

One Friday night when I was out of town Paul met up with Kyle and the girls and went to the drive in to see Kung Fu Panda!  Such good dads!

This past Tuesday night the 2nd grade put on a Dance Performance...each class did their own dance and it was so cute!! I thought Lane would be a little shy but he did great!!

And then Friday morning they had their Boosterthon Fun Run. Levi and I went up to cheer on our favorite runner!

And this weekend, I had to leave again, so Paul had the boys! I missed Levi's soccer game. Thank goodness for FaceTime because I was able to watch it and him play!

He had six goals and had so much fun playing!!! We are a away from March 1st and I'm two days shy of 30 weeks!!! EEK!!! I still have so much to do and our March is insane!! Spring Break, shower, weekend tourneys, Easter, Lane's birthday...and it just goes on and one...I mean pretty much something going on every single day!!
.
The only saving grace is that I am only working two more weeks (up to SB), and then I'm stopping...that will give me about 6 or 7 weeks to take it easy and get everything down while the boys are in school!!

Valentine Fun & A Surprise Night Away

Whew, this weekend was one for the books for sure...it was a long weekend, Paul had Friday off and Lane was off of school Monday, so it was packed with fun!
.
First up last Thursday, little mister had his Valentine preschool party...

I feel bad seeing how I only snapped three pics, but I was running back and forth b/w his class and mine!
.
Then that evening my mom drove up to attend Grandparents breakfast the next morning at Lane's school. After practice we took daddy to Mi Cocina for his birthday dinner!
.
Grammie and Lane off to school..

We spent the rest of the morning doing some birthday shopping for Paul and grabbing lunch! Then I had to book it to Lane's school for his party...fun times as always in 2nd grade!!

Since Paul had a four day weekend, we thought this was the perfect opportunity to do a quick little last minute, last Furr Four family getaway before baby comes! Our original plan was San Antonio...but that didn't pan out. We settled on surprising the boys with a night at Great Wolf Lodge! So after school on Friday we came home, told the boys, packed their bags, and headed out!

.
We got there, checked in, changed, and headed to the water! We swam most the evening, grabbed dinner, played in the arcade (where Lane hit a 1000 ticket jackpot), got ice cream, went to story time, sang Happy Birthday to daddy with a Bundt cake, and then hit the hay around 10:30ish! While Paul and I aren't head over heels for that place, we knew the boys would love it, and they did, and that made it ALL worth it! Here are some pics of the night...

We woke up early Saturday morning and was down in the water park at 9! That's when things to an unexpected turn...around 10:30 Levi and I were waiting on Paul and Lane to come off a slide and I was in position to  get some pics of them (see directly above), when afterwards I forgot that I had stepped up and completely lost my balance, tripped over a step, and took a really hard fall. It was super scary and being 27 weeks preggo made it even worse. After talking to my uncle, we decided to go ahead and head to the hospital just to be safe. They immediately hooked me up and found baby boy's heartbeat, which calmed me down tremendously...and then wanted to monitor me for about two and a half hours to make sure no contractions started. Thankfully none did and since baby seemed and sounded fine, I was released. I was super sore and spent the rest of the day on the couch hurting. Needless to say the boys' trip got cut a little short....but I don't think they seemed to mind too much!
.
We spent Valentines on the soccer field with two soccer games , ha! Nothing says love like that! Lane spent the night with a friend, I spent lots of time laying around. We ordered out for Valentines dinner and called it a day!
.
I did manage to set out some vday goodies for my boys...

That's a wrap on our weekend! Hope you all had a great Valentines!!!

Books, Baby Talk & a Weekend Recap

Hello Monday and Hello February!!!! Crazy that it's the last month before Spring! Speaking of Spring this weekend was BEAUTIFUL out....we're talking temps in the upper 70's, short sleeves, and lots of vitamin D! If you didn't spend the entire weekend outside then you definitely missed out!
.
February is going to be a fun filled month for us. We have Paul's birthday, Valentines fun, Lane's Dance Night at school, and a quick mini getaway with the kids!! It's a short month, so add all that to my never ending list of baby prep, school, work, practices, and games, and February will be gone in a flash!

Here is one of my favorite Valentines pictures of the boys...just to get us in the spirit!!

I mentioned about my never ending baby prep I have to do....if you know me you know I am super organized and love a good list! Well I made this "Baby Prep" List and oh my, it's a lot...take a look...

I tried to break it down into monthly accomplishments, but still...we have a long way till we are ready! And being February, I only have THREE months and about a week till little man arrives!!!
.
Moving on to our weekend fun....Lane was in a soccer tournament in Dallas, and in between those games he had his last basketball game of the season...

I love watching him play basketball! He was our team's point guard and I love his knack for it...always talking and setting up plays! Till next year basketball...and what's crazy is that next year Levi can finally play!!!

After all our Saturday games, the boys spent the night with my aunt and we went out with some dear friends to celebrate Kyle's birthday at Dave and Busters! Our guys were dead set on going there and had a blast playing the games! Megan and I totally felt a little out of sorts, being without kids and all at this place, but it was fun...and we got a lot of tickets!!
.
Shots for the birthday boy!!

Sunday it was back out to the soccer fields for an ALL day affair! Again the weather made it a gorgeous day!! It's a little confusing, but US soccer is moving to "age pure", so our teams got swapped up a bit this season, and now we are all 08's. This was our first tourney as our "new team" and they did awesome! Blew out four games, made it to the championship, and lost it 3-2....heartbreaking for sure after the tournament they were having, but this is just the start!!

One more thing...
I finished my first book of the year in between games yesterday, It was What She Knew by Gilly Macmillian.

I didn't give myself a reading goal this year. With a new baby on the way I know reading may be a little hard some months...but I will still be reading, and have a feeling more podcasts are in my future!
.
Whew, that was a lot!! Happy Monday Friends!!!
