Catching Up

YEA! I am finally caught up on blogging! This past weekend was pretty busy and I didn't get any chances to blog about our weekend! So scroll on down and catch up!

Boo at the Zoo!

On Sunday we took Lane to Boo at the Zoo! I know he is still too young to remember any of this, but I want to start all these fun traditions now!! We had a really fun time. The zoo was decorated in Halloween decor and some of the animals were out! They had places where you could trick or treat to get candy.

Lane didn't really pay much attention to the animals! We would hold him up, but he seemed to look at everything else but the animal! Oh well! They had a whole section full of kid games, music and more. Lane will enjoy it much more next year when he can actually walk around and participate!

My grandma, aunt and two cousins came along and I am so glad that we took little man, I think he had fun! Oh and I almost forgot, this was his first time to dress in his little baby Shrek costume!! I gotta say he looked pretty cute!

Here are some pics....carefull...there are alot! It was kinda warm when we first got there so I had Lane in a Halloween shirt and changed when it cooled off! He was ready to go!

My cute little Shrek

Daddy and Lane going to 'trick-or-treat'!! Isn't he cute holding the pumpkin!?

Hook 'em Horns!!

(My grandpa and uncle were playing around!!)
Yesterday I got to go to the Texas-Oklahoma State Game! My aunt and uncle had an extra ticket, so I headed down for the game! Paul stayed home with Lane and visited with family.

Texas games are the best! We had so much fun. It was my little cousin Jared's first game at UT Stadium....he had a blast!

Even though the game was nerve racking all the way until the end, we came out ahead and are still number one. On to Texas Tech this weekend!

Here are some pics from the game!

7 Months!

Today Lane is SEVEN months!!! WOW! He has changed so much in the past month or so! He is still at about 18 lbs. Here are some things he is doing at seven months...

*Sitting up unsupported
*Crawling...alot!
*Talking....ok more like "cooing"...but making a ton of noises.
*Loves to eat his baby food.
*Has two teeth.
*Starting to pull himself up.
*Loves to watch Blue Clues....that is our morning savior!! He will actually turn around when it comes on!!
.
Bundling up!!

I was putting Lane's clothes away, so I put him in his crib to play....when I looked over this is how I found him! Such a strong little boy! Doesn't he look mischievous???

Playing Around

When we got home this afternoon, Lane and I hung out outside. I snapped some pics by our pumpkins! I got a cute idea from my friend Stefanie to write on the pumkpins! So I did!! I then played around with some digital scrapbooking stuff, after Lane was asleep of course!

.
I have learned quick that this stuff can become addicting!

P.S. Texas is still number ONE!!! Go Horns!

Go Vote!

No, I'm not rallying you up for the November election, I'm talking about a different contest! I entered Lane in DFW's Most Kissable Baby Contest, hosted by 106.1! If you have a couple of minutes check out this link and vote for Little Lane!!

http://www.1061kissfm.com/pages/contests/baby/index2.html

You can vote once per day and the top 100 babies will move on to round two! There are tons of sweet babies, so the chances are very slim that he will win, I just thought it would be fun to do!!

Thanks!

Pumpkin Patch Fun

Today Paul and I took Lane to the Pumpkin Patch in Flower Mound! Our good friends Stefanie and Zach and their kiddos, minus one, went with us! I was a little worried about how Lane would do. The past couple of days he has been fussy, irritable, and just wants to be held. Thinking he is about to cut another tooth but not to sure. Anyway, overall Lane did pretty good. He was fascinated by the hay, and it was pretty much the only thing keeping him from not crying, so we let him play with it! When it came to pictures, Lane was completly distracted!! He would NOT look up at the camera for nothing! So, I made do with what I got! It was a fun afternoon and hopefully this is the start of a family tradition!
.
I took alot of pictures so here are some I picked to share..enjoy!Family shot

On the Go

Man this weekend flew by! We enjoyed some relaxing time on Saturday. Ran errands, picked up the house, watched Texas win, and spent time with Lane. Today, we spent the afternoon at my cousin's baseball tournament. It was cool this morning, so Lane got to wear his little Ranger hoodie for the first time, which he looked so cute in! He was so good at the game...played in his stroller, looked around, and of course spent time in everyone's lap! He loves to be outdoors so he had fun.Watching the game!
Smile for mommy!

Playing with Cooper

This past Wednesday Lane had his six month well check. He is a growing little weed. He weighed in at 18 lbs. even. He is 26 inches long. The doctor says he looks great and is right where is should be!
.
Paul and I are about to really have our hands full....Lane is in the beginning stages of crawling!! He loves to play with his toys so he is always on the floor playing. During the past two weeks or so he has just started to move all around! Paul calls it "army crawling" b/c he is pulling himself with his arms. But he can move and fast. So it won't be long before he figures out this whole crawling business!
.
It's so fun to watch him basically teach himself how to get around, yet at the same time I watch him and can't believe that he is moving around! It's just amazing how much babies change!
.
Well one six weeks is down...5 more to go! Even though I'm counting down the days until my next holiday, I really am enjoying school this year!
.
I'm looking forward to the next couple of weeks. We are taking Lane to a pumpkin patch, to Boo in the Zoo, and my mom is coming in town for Halloween!. I love this time of the year and having a kid now, even though he is too young to remember any of it, makes it so much more fun!
