Our Little Graduate

Last Friday night Lane had his very first graduation from Pre-K! He had been so excited about it and had been practicing his songs all the time leading up! He was the cutest little graduate I've ever seen!
.
Here is my handsome little man...all decked out in his "graduation clothes"!

A few little gifts!

Grammie sent him this plate! I plan on writing the dates of all his graduations on the back as a sweet little keepsake!

A few weeks before we received these invitations

When we got to the church there was a huge area of tables set up for all the classes filled with balloons, pictures, keepsakes and more! It was over the top special and was so sweet! Lane got a photo album filled with pictures of his class from the year and a graduation book!

Lane checking it all out!

Lane and sweet Madilynn...these two have been together for awhile now!

The program

Walking in...such a sweet moment seeing him! I got a glimpse of what it's going to be like in about 12 years!

All the classes performed songs together, then each class did their own stuff! Lane did SO good...he sung his little heart out!

His class!

At the end, the kindergarten class lead everyone in a song! Notice Lane at the bottom dancing!

Then is was time for them to "walk" and get their diplomas! So stinking cute!! He kinda ran/walked across!

Love him

Thank you Robin and Kelly for coming with us to celebrate!

And thank you Great-Nana too!!

Mommy & Daddy with our graduate!

So proud of him!!

I was blown away by the whole graduation! It was so well put together and all the kids did great! I swear we are beyond blessed to be at SSA. It's an amazing school and they love our little boys. They went above and beyond in making this such a special night! I can't believe that Lane only has one more year there! We ended the night by letting Lane pick where he wanted to eat dinner...and it was no shock that his picked McDonalds! So McDonalds it was!

Phone Dump

Not alot has been going on this past week. We are winding down our school year and after today I have FOUR days left!! It's hard to contain my excitement. This year had pretty much been awful from day one..so needless to say I'm ready to put it in the books! Tomorrow Lane will be graduating from Pre-K and we are so excited about that...we got his cap and gown yesterday...and oh my word...it's precious and I don't know how I'm going to get through it without a tear or two! He is so big! Anyway...there will be more graduation posts to come!
.
Yesterday we received some good news....They will break ground on our house on June 12!!! YEA!! We are so ready and excited to get this process going!
.
We are headed out of town Saturday morning for Memorial Day weekend....we are going South to Victoria. I plan on laying at the pool all weekend, hopefully with some yummy adult beverages in one hand, and my Kindle in the other!
.
Can't have a post without some pics, so I decided to do a phone dump! I am always snapping pics of the boys randomly with my phone...and some are pics that I want to have in my book..so anyway here are some recent random pics of my stinkers!
.
Our Target is getting a huge makeover right now...and while it's causing me stress while shopping there, we did get some new fancy carts! These are crazy big, but now both boys can sit, hang out, and the best part..they are both strapped in! Levi loves it...I think b/c it reminds him of the buggie at school!

Levi got a swing for his birthday! He likes to hang out in it while we're outside playing!

Lane insisted on eating his nuggets while wearing this mask that he got as the toy! Goober!

Ok, so this is pretty funny...at least to me...we are frequent customers at the Cristina's in Southlake...the manager always comes and says hi to us! Anyway, this particular location always gives shots of Kahlua after dinner. So on this particular visit they bring us ours....and they brought Lane one as well! His was filled with a Shirley Temple! Paul and I both died laughing and said that it was his "first shot"! Of course Lane had no idea why we thought it so funny and yes, I had to capture that moment, ha!

Waiting on a baseball game to start...Levi was all eyes!

Nothing cuter than matching outfits!

I had to include this one. This just completely captures Lane right now! He loves to play...and if it's not sports, it's with his Batmans. How sweet is this!? I found these lined up like this one night!

And if you're friends with me on FB, you saw this posted last night...Levi has some crazy hair right now. For one it's curly!!! I know...how did that happen!? Even if I comb it, by the end of the day it usually resembles this in some way!! Paul wants to cut it but I'm trying to hold out for a couple more months!

That's all! Hope everyone has a great weekend coming up!!

Lane and the Squirrel

On Sunday while we were at the park, Lane made a new friend! Him and Paul spotted a squirrel and tip-toed over to him. Lane just wanted to see him up close. But the the funniest thing happened...the squirrel started to run off toward a tree, Lane followed, and I kid you not they started playing with each other! Paul called me over to get some pics...so I tip-toed over to watch. We told Lane to be quiet so it wouldn't run away!
.
It was hilarious and I think the squirrel was really playing chase with Lane!
.
Trying to get close

They would circle around each other on this tree

This picture cracks me up...it's like the squirrel is looking directly at Lane!!

This one to....he's like..."come get me"!

It was pretty cute and Lane got a kick out of it!!

Mother's Day 2012

I had a great Mother's Day today! But before I get to today I want to go back to Friday morning. Lane's school had "Muffins with Mom" in honor of Mother's Day! I usually don't take the boys to school but there was no way I was missing this fun time with my oldest boy! It was so cute and thoughtful. I love SSA and they always do extra special things! We started off in the playroom getting our juice and muffins...Levi joined us for a bit too!

Then Ms. Erica came and got us to go back to their classroom...where the tables were so nicely decorated with flowers and gifts for us moms!

After eating and visiting, each kid got to give their mommy a rose to take with them! I love this boy to pieces!!

I waited till that evening to open my gifts so Lane could be there with me! First up was this sweet little "questionnaire"...I love that I am only 5 years old, ha!

Then there was a sweet little book filled with poems, notes, and such! Look at this full page note!! I can't believe he wrote that..so proud of the progress he has made since January!
I also got a framed pic of Lane, and a cute little flower pot picture from Levi!
.
OK, now back to today...after sleeping in, I immediately was given my present! Lane and daddy wasted no time.....I walked in to this....

I was pretty surprised to see a Coach bag sitting there! I had NO idea...I actually asked Paul for workout shorts!! He is something else...I am so grateful for Paul!!

He picked this out completely on his own!! Pretty good huh?!

My favorite part...the inside color!

After opening my gift, daddy took me on a special Starbucks run! (Mainly because we were out of coffee, ha! And we had a late night the night before celebrating my aunt's graduation..Shout out Kelly!!)

After breakfast we decided the day was just too nice to sit inside so we packed up and went to a nearby trail/park!  Both of them love being outdoors! Lane decided he didn't want to take his bike, he wanted to walk and look for roly polys!

We saw a snake along the way!

And daddy and Lane raced!

Two of many roly polys he found!

Levi took a mid morning nap!

And we saw some longhorns too!

Levi woke up about that time and wanted to see them as well!

Lane has a thing for catching butterflies!

We ended at the park and let the boys play for a bit!

It was so fun and a perfect morning with my boys! After a bit of resting, we went to an early dinner at my favorite, Uncle Julio's! We were so stuffed and decided to walk around Southlake Town center for a bit before heading home! Then, I ended the night with a kid-free trip to my favorite store, Target! Strolling the aisles at my own pace, looking at whatever I wanted... now that's what I call awesome!!
.
I am so lucky for these two boys!! Being a mommy is the best and most rewarding thing! I wouldn't trade it for anything!! And a special thank you to my amazing husband, who goes above and beyond to make me feel so special!! Love you!
I hope all the mommies I know had a wonderful day!!
