4 Month Doctor Visit

Today we took little man for his well check. Lane is right on track, healthy, and doing great overall! We get to start baby food now which will be fun. He was a trooper during his shots...all four of them! He figured out what was happening on shot number three then decided he wanted to cry! So here are his stats...

Weight: 15 lbs. 10 ounces

Length: 25 inches

Head: 42 1/3 cm

We definitely have a big boy on our hands!!

In other news, Lane and I are off to North Carolina early tomorrow morning to visit my mom, stepdad, and sisters! I am very excited to go but a little nervous about the flight. Basically this could go one of two ways: very good...or very badly!! Sadly, Paul can't make this trip, so it's all me!! I'll let you know how it turns out! But I'm sure I'll get through it and I can't wait to see the fam and they are very exicted to see Lane! Probably a little more than me!

I will try and post some while I am away. When I get back I have about a week or so before school starts back up..darn! Where did this summer go??

4 Months Old!

Today Lane is four months! Look at my precious little boy!!Not a whole lot has changed in the past four weeks, but there are some new things happening.

Lane is now reaching and grabbing at objects. He is setteled into a pretty good bedtime routine. He sleeps on average about 7-8 hours straight at night. When propped up, he is trying to lean forward. He loves loves loves to stand! Being helped of course!
He is getting so long now. Look at those little leg rolls!

This is his new thing. He makes his lips do this and he hums , if thats what you call it. At times he will make this noise for about ten minutes or so! It is so funny but, I'm not gonna lie, can get a bit irritating! But yea, this is his new face!

We go for his four month well check on Monday, so I will post his stats then!

Not Much Going On...

Not much has been going on the past week. Just hanging around enjoying summer! So here are a couple of pictures of little man from the past week!I mentioned in a previous post that we were starting cereal with Lane at night, a small amount! He really likes it and suprisingly he does really well eating from a spoon! Majority of it ends up either on his face or in his lap! It's giving me a small taste of what baby food will be like!
This is Lane's new toy! For a long time now, all Lane wants to do when you hold him is stand up on your lap! And he loves to kick his little legs! So we thought it was time to get him a jumper....and boy does he love it! His little legs just go to town in it...it is so funny to watch!

Today Paul and I are celebrating our third year of marriage! We met eight years ago at SFA an have been together since! I knew from very early on that Paul was no doubt the person who I wanted to spend forever with. He continues to makes me laugh on a daily basis. He is an amazing dad and I love him very much!

I can't wait to see what our future holds!

Look at me!

Paul and I try to take Lane on walks at least 3-4 times during the week. So tonight, when I was getting ready to go for a walk, I decided instead of using his car seat in the stoller, I would just put Lane in the stroller...no car seat! The pictures speak for themselves....Lane loved it! Not only did he sit in there just fine, he even tried to lean forward!! I'm ready to go mom!
P.S. Lane has had some sinus issues so I took him to the doctor today, he is fine, BUT he weighed 15 lbs!!! I couldn't believe it...he is literally growing too fast!

Big Boy Jammies!!

Last night we put Lane in his big boy pj's! I didn't think
they would fit, but they did! They looked so cute on him! I loved this picture and wanted to share.

On a different note, the past two nights Lane has been waking up at 2:30 for a botttle! Which he has not done in about a month and a half. Paul and I don't like this!! So, we are going to try some rice cereal tonight and see if this helps! Now I know my pedi told me to wait for four months but he is so close!! I think he is ready now!!!

Is anyone else excited about.....

the Bachelorette tonight!! It has been my summer addiction. Tonights the finale and it is going to be good. It's down to either Jessie or Jason! Jessie is the free spirit snow boarder and Jason is the daddy! My money is on Jason but I won't be surprised if it's Jessie!!

I know this is a day late but we were gone all day yesterday!

Happy 4th of July! This was Lane's first real holiday besides Mothers and Fathers day! We started the day with a little shopping...can't beat some of the deals that were out there. Then we headed to my aunts for some grilling, swimming, and just hanging out with family! After all that we went out to Lone Star Park for some fireworks. I was a little worried that Lane would not like them, but I was wrong! He just sat in my lap and watched them!! He was such a good boy all day... and he was worn out by the time it was all over!

Summer Reading

So after about a three month break...I am going to start reading again. Thank goodness, I've been missing a good book! Lane is starting to nap longer during the day and going to sleep at a regular time, so I'm going to try and slip in some reading here and there!

I've chosen to start with Peony in Love. Earlier in the year I read Lisa See's Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, and absolutely loved it. I love the way this author writes...everything from the setting, China, the character description, the themes...it was so good and I wanted to read her second novel!!

So hopefully my little Lane will let me read every once in a while! It keeps me sane!! I'll keep you posted on how this one turns out!
