1 Month Old!

He would not wake up!

Earlier in the day....he's thinking about something!

Wow! Time has flown by, today Lane is one month! It's crazy to think about how much our lives have changed in one month! Lane is such a little blessing. Other than the obvious, here are some little things that have changed in my life from a month ago:

1: Went from watching over 90 + kids to just one...much more demanding!

2: My days revolve around counting hours for feedings.

3: Getting ready for the day has become a race against time!

4: I used to sleep about 8 hours a night..now I'm lucky to get 3 or 4 in a row!

5: Leaving the house now for anything entails packing a bag!

Even with all the changes, I am loving my life right now! Every time I look at Lane I am reminded how lucky we are!

Weekend Fun

This weekend Lane had more visitors. Aunt Brittany came in town and stayed with us for the weekend. On Saturday one of my work friends came to see Lane. Also, my cousins from Waco came in town. On Sunday Lane went to his first baseball game! He slept right through it! He loves to go bye-bye in the car...which makes going out good for us! He is such a good baby...he is eating about 3 and a half ounces now and is beginning to sleep a little better at night!

Good news this week...all my shows are starting back up! It's about time, I have been having Brother and Sister withdrawl!!

3 Weeks Old!

Lane and Titus

Yesterday Lane turned 3 weeks old! Time is already flying by fast! Paul and I are slowly getting used to this whole parenting thing! Here are some things Lane can do at 3 weeks:

*Lift his head up...and hold it for a couple of seconds!

*Make eye contact with you

*Smile....and every once in a while giggle...mainly in his sleep!

*He is eating 3 oz. now

Last week at his two week check-up he weighed 8 lbs. and was 21 inches long! My little man is definitely growing by the day!

Yesterday Lane and I went to visit Stefanie and baby Titus! It was so cute to see the boys together! I'm sure that was the first of many future play dates! There was no "playing" yesterday...both boys just slept and ate!!

Bye Bye Nana

Well today was a sad day. My mom had to head back to North Carolina. She has been here for about three weeks and has been a huge help. It's been great to have my mom here, not only to love on Lane, but to help me out also. So today was my first day completely alone with Lane! I survived! So mom, if your reading this, thank you for coming and for all the help that you gave Paul and I. All three of us love you and can't wait till we get to see you again!

So yesterday Lane was two weeks old...these two weeks have gone by very fast. Today we are dealing with a little case of diarrhea. We go to the doc tomorrow so hopefully we will find out for sure and it will go away soon. Other than that little issue Lane is doing wonderful!

Today by best friend, Stefanie had baby Titus! For those of you who don't know, Stefanie and I have known each other since elementary school and we have been preggo together, and we both had boys!! We are very excited for Lane and Titus to be so close in age! So happy birthday Titus!

New Things...

Lane is almost two weeks old! These past couple of days have been very interesting. Overall Lane is such a good baby. He really only cries when he is hungry or needs a changing! He is so darn cute that I just want to hold him all the time..haha! He also enjoys being in his swing.

Lane had his first "night out" on Saturday, the 5th! We went out to eat to celebrate great nana's birthday. Lane was so good. He ate then slept the whole time while being passed around the table!

Another exciting thing happened this weekend, Lane lost his umbilical cord. He lost it very quickly, I was expecting it to stay on a little longer, but glad I don't have to mess with it anymore!

My mom is still here! This is her last week. I have loved her being here b/c its helping us settle in. I will be nervous when she leaves!

Ok so he is here!!!! Lane arrived excatley one week ago today, March 25, 2008. I was scheduled to be induced Tuesday morning but Lane wanted to come on his own. Labor and delivery was painful but everything was wonderful after my epidural!! He was born at 3:23 am and weighed 7 lbs. 6 oz. He is precious and is doing great. He is a good eater and loves to sleep!

I can't believe that one week has already passed. Lane is amazing and has already added so much to our little family! Paul and I love him so much and I am so grateful for this little boy!
