I'm Back!

WOW, I can't believe that it has been ten days since I have posted last!! Trust me, I've had good reason for my absence! The first week after I was officially out of school, I had curriculum writing all week.....bummer...so my first real day of summer wasn't until the 12th. Anyway, the main reason for my lack of posting is because every night after Lane goes down I've been working on my blog book....and let me say it has been work! Not hard work but it definitely takes time! But I am done and I think it's awesome, and I'm so glad that I have a way to keep this blog for Lane , and future kids, to read one day!!

Moving on....my summer days so far have been pretty good.....we start with a walk in the morning, then play all day inside and out! And I have been known to wander to Target once in a while!!! Our mommy and me swim lessons start Monday! I am pretty excited about that! We have been swimming at my aunts a couple of times and Lane really likes the water, so no worries there!

I have to share this funny story...tonight Paul, Lane and I went out to eat...and we had our first real bad dining experience!! Oh the days of looking at couples with screaming kids and saying "That's never going to be us"!!! HAHA, yeah right! Lane totally embarrassed us! He did not want to sit in his high chair, so I took him out (mistake number one) and sat him in my lap. Then he wanted to grab at and play with everything in his sight (mistake number two: a fork). So when I took things away, he cried, and cried, and cried!!! Oh Lane! So needless to say, Paul made a quick exit with Lane and I boxed up our very uneaten meals and left quickly!! The things we learn from our kids!!

Tomorrow, Lane will take his first trip to Six Flags!! I am so excited. He loves to ride rides (Chuck E. Cheese, mall) and I know he is going to have a blast! Look for pics to come soon but not tomorrow night.....because I will be at the Jonas Brothers concert!! Don't laugh people!! I am going with pretty much all my cousins!! It is a family affair and I am sure it will be fun!!

Wednesday night a bunch a girls and guys from work got together to hang out and celebrate the summer birthdays in the group! Someone thought it would be funny to have these balloons hats made for us!

And recently Lane is crazy over baseball bats! For a couple of weeks now he has this Texas Ranger bat that he carries everywhere!! It is so cute! It's kinda weird because baseball is the one thing on TV (besides Noggin shows) that he will stop and watch! Maybe a future baseball player on our hands! And yesterday he spotted another bat on his dresser so we had to get that one down as well!
