Lazy Saturday

Today was a very nice, calm, relaxing day! Well somewhat relaxing. I loved the rain and cool air outside, however, inside we were dealing with a cranky baby! For the majority of this past week, we have been battling what we think is a little bug that Lane caught which caused lots of poo poo diapers (sorry but there really isn't a "prettier" way of saying that) which lead to a very bad diaper rash, which will NOT go away...much to our frustration. There is nothing worse than a bad case of diaper rash. On top of that, I'm pretty sure Lane is teething, which is causing his fussiness. There is no fever to report, just a cranky baby with a sore bottom!

I am hoping that whatever he has going on in his tummy will settle down quickly.

In other news, our house has been serving as an evacuation shelter!! My sister-in-law and her family, who live in Houston, came in town Wednesday night and has been with us. Good news is their brand new house survived IKE. We got to spend alot of time with them and Lane loved having Coen around!

They left about mid-morning, and shortly after is when the weather began to change. So, we spent the day inside. I made a big pallet on the floor, where little man played all day (have I mentioned that he is sitting up now by himself!!), daddy watched football, and I graded papers!

Now that Lane is sitting up, he can sit in the tub and not in the "baby bath". We also pulled out the bath toys...which Lane loves!!! Every bath now has to have toys!
