Weekend Recap & A Few New Things

Spring Break '11 is here!! Yea! Even though I am not going anywhere I am still excited! I hope to get alot done this week, including all the preparations for a certain little man's birthday party! I can't believe this time of year is here already...I can remember planning his party last year!
.
Our weekend was pretty low key, Paul and Lane worked in the yard, I caught up on the gazillion shows I have DVR'd, and we ran errands. One errand was to go register, not that we need alot this go round, but there is some stuff, and plus Levi needs his share of goodies...after all... he'll be getting lots of hand me downs from big bro!!
.
Anyway while registering at Target, Paul called to me from another aisle..."Tara, would you look at this...you so need this"! This is what he found....

So funny...blogs are everywhere! And yes, I did get it!
.
Another baby accessory I love are these adorable soft baby blocks! I found them on Etsy....yes I am slightly obsessed with Etsy!! Anyway, my sister ordered these for Brody and I knew I needed some when it came time. And yes I went for a UT theme...I love how they turned out!!

And last, I haven't posted a pic of my big boy on here in awhile, so I snapped some pics while daddy and Lane were playing this afternoon.

Love these two...soon to be three...boys of mine!!
.
P.S. Speaking of three...I think I am officially over being pregnant, ha! Don't get me wrong, I love being pregnant, but you just hit a point and you're like "okay, I'm done"! And sadly I still have at least seven weeks left. I just want Levi out!

32 Week Bumpdates & A 3D Sono

Here we are, 32 weeks and counting! Eight short weeks to go! It's so crazy that we are in the home stretch! I'm feeling pretty decent, other than the normal aches and pains that go along with pregnancy! I have already started my two week checkups, and I have my 32 week one on Wednesday! Everyday life is keeping me very busy and this pregnancy is slowy creeping by!
.
I am trying my very best to soak in all the Lane time I can get, not just for me, but for him as well. I am in party planning mode for his birthday coming up! And I have a million things to do still in preparation for Levi!
.
This weekend we traveled down to Waco, my uncle did a 3D sonogram for us! One of the perks of having an OBGYN in the fam!! Anyway I was so excited to have it done! We had high hopes that Levi would be cooperative for us. Lane was very uncooperative! He wanted to keep what he looked like a surprise! We tried for abou 45 mintutes with him, but he would not show his cute little face! So, we were hoping this time would turn out differently, and it did! We got to see Levi's sweet face, and his puckered little lips! He was a fiesty little thing, he kept kicking and hitting at the spot where the monitor thing was! And we may have a big boy on our hands, he already weighs 4 lbs 10 oz. and was measuring at 33 weeks and 3 days!!! WHAT??!? And I am only measuring 32 weeks! I was a little shocked! So I guess we'll see! But more importantly, everything looks great and he is head down!! Here are some of the pictures we got, they are so good and I am so thankful we have these forever!

Five Days in Paradise

You couldn't ask for more than being in the Bahamas in the middle of February! Our trip was amazing! The resort itself was worth it...it was awesome. I got sun...I got to relax... I got to enjoy fancy dinners...and above all I got to enjoy some along time that will be hard to come by very soon! As much fun as we had though, we were both so ready to see our little man on Sunday! Here is a recap of our trip, enjoy!

Arriving

We were greeted by a nice Apex sign! The Bahama airport was really small so you couldn't miss it!

Here was the view from our room. We didn't have an ocean view, but we did have an equally cool view. We were facing the marina. We could see the huge yachts that are parked here, we could see the cruise ship docks! It was so neat to watch them come and go every day. And we also had a view of Dolphin Cove. We could hear them and watch them, so neat!

Paul wasted no time finding the casino! It was open 24 hours, and it took us right back to Vegas! Too bad no happy ending like Vegas though, ha!

Our first night Apex hosted a "Welcome Social" basically it was a three hour all you can drink mixer! It was outside though in this open area overlooking the pool, so it was very pretty!

One very cool thing about this resort was the insane number of aquariums they had! Everywhere you walked you either went down into some under ground aquarium, or there would be water with sharks or stingrays swimming around. My husband took tons of pictures of sea life! But I'm not going to post them all! Here were a few of our favorite...
.
The Stingrays...

This one in particular..it was HUGE!!

And this ugly thing! It came right to the window and should sat there staring at us!

Here is a walk-through tunnel

Doing some more exploring!

The views of this place were incredible!! So pretty!

This is the famous slide of Atlantis, Leap of Faith! It was so big once you were right up under it. I so wish I could have done it, oh well! Paul did though! I was kinda shocked, seeing how he is kinda afraid of heights! But I finally got him to do it!

 Paul in line with Eddy...

And there he goes! I'm so glad I got proof!!

Paul and I before the dinner and banquet Friday evening

 Me and Sarah..wife of a co-worker!

The Ft. Worth boys who made it, Paul, Bryan, and Adam

The gals....Sarah, me, Kelly, Addy (Apex worker from Dallas office), and Julie

The banquet hall! There were close to four hundred people on this trip...about two hundred were actual Apex employees, the rest were spouses.

Paul being called up for his award! Good job babe!

Yes, we spent the majority of our days either at the pool or on the beach, however, those pics didn't make the cut, HA!

Atlantis is such a crazy resort! So big and so pretty! Definitely a place everyone should go! We are so fortunate to have been able to go, and really I have my awesome hubby to thank for working so hard and making this trip!!

Weekend Ramblings

This weekend I headed down to San Marcos for my very dear friend, Arlette's bridal shower! Arlette and I met in education classes at SFA, became great friends and roomed together through our last years of college! Since then she has met a wonderful guy and they are getting married in May!! Two weeks after my due date to be exact...and I'm in the wedding, so things should be fairly entertaining come time to wear the dress! It's too early to stress about it now, but I'm sure it will happen, HA! It was great getting to see her and celebrate this time!!
.
Paul and Lane spent the day in Waco while I went to the shower. When I got home, Paul had a little surprise waiting for me....

My very own Kindle!!! I was super excited! I had been talking about getting one, but for my birthday which is in June, not now!! But Paul being Paul...went ahead and got it for me...just in time for our trip! Such a sweetheart! Thanks babe!
.
Another thing I want to mention (mainly for recording purposes in our blog book) is Lane's progress at potty training! This past Monday, the 14th,  we sent Lane to school in underwear for the first time. He had no tee-tee accidents the WHOLE WEEK!!! And only had one #2 accident. I couldn't believe how good he did for his first "real" week and giving this a go! Other than at night, he tells us pretty much everytime he has to go! So that brings us to today,...he went #2 in the potty for the first time! He has been kinda scared to do it, but he did and I couldn't believe it. So hopefully he will feel comfortable at going and do it more often!
.
Lastly, awhile back I saw some super cute closet dividers on Etsy that I wanted to get for Levi's closet, however, I've been feeling super crafty here recently so I thought that I would give them a try! I came across some extra border from the nursery and thought that would be perfect to use, so not only was this craft super cheap, but very easy and I think they turned out pretty cute!

We have tomorrow off and I am so glad. We still have a alot to get done before we leave on Wednesday! Oh and my favorite reality show, Amazing Race, starts tonight so I am happy about that! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Making Me Smile

We all know the saying..."It's the little things in life that make you happy"!
I came home to find this today!! I had to share because it's  just so darn cute and I love it even more because it's the first thing I've gotten with his name on it and I love love seeing his name!

Happy Valentine's Day...

Lane celebrated V-day at school with a party! He came home with lots of cards and candy!
We gave him his gift from us and let him enjoy some of the goods!

And Daddy was very nice to mommy...
